YOUT M a r c h issue was kitchen
heaven for me! I found so many
budget-friendly ideas to use in article
after article, and the colors were
warm and inviting.

March issue arrived,
my three daughters and I decided to
make chef Scott Peacock’s pecan
rolls ASAP. The directions were easy
to follow, the dough was gorgeous,
and licking spoons after making the
topping was almost too much fun. I
grew up with BHG and still depend
on it This is certainly going to be one
of those recipes my girls take with
them when they leave the nest.

loved the “Thoroughly
Modern Meat Loaf” recipes in the
March issue. We enjoy making
mini-meatloaves in a muffin pan.
They freeze well and the fun size is
just right for our 2- and 5-year-old
daughters.

I was an
optimist. But after reading “The
Pessimist’s Guide to a Happier Life
(March),” the truth came through. I
get it! I finally get it!

a pessimist But upon contemplation,
I decided that giving oneself credit for
every good thing that happens is more
like narcissim than optimism!

my February issue, the
Fresh Now item “Pay It Forward”
caught my eye. At our library, we put
up a bulletin board and set out paper
hearts for people to write down
random acts of kindness that they
have experienced. We can get a little
down here in Michigan because of the
bad economy, but it was heartwarm-
ing to see that there are plenty of good
things happening, too.

to see you consult
“cosmetic cop” Paula Begoun in
February’s Beauty Style section
(“Hydrate!”). I just turned 43, and I
still get asked for ID when buying a
botde of wine. Thank you Paula for
great, affordable products and thanks
to BHG for all your great ideas on
health and beauty.

“ P e r f e c t P a i r s ”

wowed me so much that I bought
what I needed Saturday to bake the
Rustic Chocolate Pie and Chocolate
Decadence Cookies on Sunday.
Thanks from a baking enthusiast and
chocoholic for a delicious issue.
